A little goes a long way! Apply ice melter with a push type or hand handled spreader for the greatest results. Sprinkle the ice melter over ice and snow at a rate of 1 lb. to 4.5 lb. per 540 ft2 depending on the quantity of ice and snow present. Remove extra slush/water using a shovel, then reapply to icy places. Avoid overspreading. Avoid stacking by applying evenly.
